Nate Vallejo and the Art of Making Thursday Feel Like Friday

Every Thursday from 6 to 9 PM, Nate Vallejo turns the room up. Blues-inflected rock that fills every corner. This is why Thursday nights at Tuck's have a reputation.

Thursday has a reputation at Sherwood Restaurant & Bar.

People who know, know: Thursday nights are when the room has an extra charge to it. The week is almost done, the weekend is in reach, and Nate Vallejo is on stage.

Nate's blues-rock is the kind of music that feels physical. It fills the room — not just in volume but in presence. His guitar work is confident without being showy, and his setlists have a way of pulling you out of wherever your head was when you walked in.

He's been a Sherwood Restaurant & Bar regular for years. The crowd that comes on Thursday nights is, in part, a crowd that comes for him. They order the ribs. They get a whiskey or a house beer. They stay until 9.

If you've never made it in on a Thursday, now you know why you should. Bar opens at 4. Dinner from 5. Nate takes the stage at 6.

Book a table. Come early enough to eat.
