Greg Cook was 24 years old when he opened in 1973 — in a landmark 1860 brick building at the corner of Pine and Commercial, as one of Northern California's first wine bars.
The Paige family now carries the legacy forward. Same mahogany bar. Same brick walls. Same soul. The 2026 remodel is a rebirth, not a reinvention — music, food, and community first, with sports now added.

- 2003 Rebuilt from the ashes — the mahogany bar, the Sherwood Forest Room, and the brick walls return stronger.
- 2019 The Paige family assumes ownership, honoring the legacy with upgrades to the bar and viewing experience.
- 2023 Fifty years — a week of celebration, live music every night, and a street party the town didn't forget.
