For more than 50 years, Cakebread Cellars has been one of Napa Valley's most respected family-owned wineries, known for crafting elegant wines designed to be enjoyed around the table with great food and great company. What began with a small 22-acre property in Rutherford in 1973 has grown into one of California's most celebrated wine estates while remaining committed to hospitality, sustainability, and exceptional winemaking.
On Thursday, July 16, guests will enjoy a carefully curated five-course menu paired with some of Cakebread's most beloved wines, guided by Cakebread representative Cliff Burr and Friar Tuck's Executive Chef David LaFayette.
Throughout the evening, you'll learn about the wines, the vineyards, the winemaking philosophy behind Cakebread Cellars, and why these wines have become staples on the tables of wine lovers across the country.

MEET YOUR HOST — CLIFF BURR
Leading the evening is Cliff Burr, whose passion for wine began while working in some of London's most acclaimed restaurants and wine bars.
Today, Cliff is one of only a handful of Advanced Sommeliers in our region, a Certified Wine Educator, and sat for the prestigious Master Sommelier examination in 2024.
Known for his approachable style, deep knowledge, and enthusiasm for sharing wine, Cliff has a remarkable ability to make every guest feel welcome, whether they're a seasoned collector or simply curious to learn more. His expertise and storytelling will bring an added dimension to each course throughout the evening.
