Join us at The Sherwood at Friar Tucks for a special evening with Mimi Simmons, a fifth-generation Nevada County local whose family roots run deep in the community.
From childhood adventures and family memories to familiar places that have changed beyond recognition, Mimi will share stories of growing up in a Nevada County that looked very different from the one we know today.
And somewhere along the way, we may even hear about a visit to a town that now sits beneath the waters of a lake.
Through personal memories and stories passed down through generations, Mimi offers a glimpse into the people, places, and experiences that have shaped our community.

About the Speaker
Mimi Simmons
A fifth-generation Nevada County native, Mimi has spent her life deeply connected to the place she calls home.
Beyond her decades of experience in local real estate, she has served in community leadership roles, including President of the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the Nevada County Board of Realtors.
For this special History Night, we're going back to where it all began: Mimi's childhood, her family roots, and the stories of a Nevada County she knows firsthand.
