Friar Tuck’s on the corner of Pine & Commercial Street in Nevada City’s Historic District has been a festive dining and lounge experience since 1973. Friar Tuck’s features a warm, unique atmosphere with friendly staff, an extensive steak, seafood and fondue menu, award winning wine list, classic cocktails and live music nightly.
In March of 2002, a huge fire burned a group of buildings in the center of town to the ground, including Friar Tuck’s Restaurant & Bar. Since then it has been totally rebuilt in the same rustic style of the age-old English monasteries. This includes walls made with the bricks from the old building, a beautiful hand-carved triple arch mahogany pub bar, cozy booths, an enchanting ‘Sherwood Forest Room’ and castle-style chandeliers.
